Well I had a day....
All this good news flying around i hate to share mine.
Yesterday afternoon i was tasting the lasgna sauce i had made before i assembled it, and 5 mins later, i started to drool and salivate....and not in a good way, trust me. within 10 more mins i was in so much pain i was almost in tears. my DH was very worried and i just wanted topull my insides out. He brought me the heating pad but i couldn't sit still. i got in a hot shower for about 10 mins and thought maybe i was feeling a bit better but noooooooooooooooo. i had to skip supper of course because i'm back on liquids for 2 more days (again). i was in agonizing pain until after 9:00. 5 hours of sheer pain. i couldn't believe it. from a sip of lasagna sauce on a teaspoon. i didn't eat anything else. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. after the pain was gone it was like sitting on a cloud. the relief is so unbelievable.
So today, I woke up exhausted after the trauma and got ready and went to work. I called the clinic at 9:30 and guess who answered the phone....LISE ! she's back. it was so nice to hear her voice. She asked me to come in today, so off I went. Left here at 11:00 for my appointment at 3:00. Lise said i would need a 1cc unfill. i had to head over to see Dr. B. Lise is now training to do the adjustments so I was excited to be a guinea pig for her. BUT since i had my first fill under fluoroscope they took me back over there to have the radiologist do it.
When i got in the room, the first thing they made me do while i was still standing was to drinki some barium. next thing Dr. B. appeared out of nowhere (behind the wall) and said that sailed right through with no restriction...if anything you are underfilled. But i had explained to Caroline that i have been having pain while i eat (separate from a stuck episode)...so Dr. B. thinks I have inflamation in my stomach. He asked if i take losec or anyhthing like that and I said no i have no stomach issues at all...no reflux or anything. He said you do not need an unfill I am giving you a prescription for Losec and said to take it for 6 weeks until my next fill. I thought my next fill would be sooner but I guess because of this i have to wait the 6 weeks.
So to summarize...I didn't get an unfill (YEAH!) But i do have a stomach inflamation (BOOO).
well, what a day. I have the band possessed by demons...I swear. It has a mind of it's own. I read threads on the lapband board all the time where people say that their band is very fickle and changes all the time. That's me. Plus for some reason due to this, i get stuck issues. egad. According to their scales i was only down 6 lbs since the fill on Dec 22. oh well...
ok i'm tired of typing now...so going to sign off but needed to share with my OH buddies. Like ann said, it's nice to know we have a place to go to vent, share, unload or brag.
Thanks guys...you rock.

I hope you dont overdue it - try to get as much rest as you can when you are not working- you know how much crap is going around and you dont need to pick up anything.
hugs and stay well - one day at a time...... this too shall pass

My drive is about 2 1/2 hours. I didn't think it was 2 1/2 to Saint John from Moncton. I have a brother in quispamsis and it's 3 1/2 from Halifax to his house. Are you sure you have to drive 2 1/2 to Moncton?????

Yeah, it may be 1 1/2 hrs. I don't exceed the speed limit and if it's icy or snowy I go below the posted speed limit. I make my sons drive that way when I'm in the car too. They grumble about it but they do it. LOL
I hope Charline does well today. I hate to think of her travelling in this snow storm.

Thanks for telling us about that Patsy,
If it happens to me at least I won't be so panicked as I would be had you not shared it. As you may recall I had a pre-existing esophageal condition and so I am kind of careful and nervous about complications surrounding that issue. I did read somewhere that sometimes people who never had acid issues sometimes develop it for a short time during the first few months.
I don't like their scales. Ya they are big and fancy but I just don't think they are as accurate as they could be. Lise walks on them to get to the items posted on the wall in front of the scales and I think that might not be so good for them. They aren't meant to be a traffic area. Also, if your clothing is heavier due to the weather it could account for up to 3 extra pounds.
I hope you are feeling better soon and that your pouch heals soon. Felix is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
