It's February (or almost!!!)

For all us Savoie patients, you must be getting antsy like I am.  February will be upon us in a couple of days and I wonder how soon we'll start hearing of people getting that long awaited call.  I've been trying very hard not to think of this whole procedure, just shoved it to the back of my mind to save my sanity. It's helped me get to this point...but now I'm feeling very nervous again!  I wonder if he could do the procedure on two of us at a time so we could hold hands!  Let the games begin!!!!

How long have you been waiting for the surgery? I think it's wonderful that there are now 2 surgeons in the province. Hope you don't have to wait 3+ years like I did!

Heh, I feel guilty saying that I've only waited since last summer.  I made the decision and had an appt within 2 months.  I've been really lucky that Dr Savoie came to NB when he did.  We've all been lucky!!  I don't know how you other folks waited for years! 

Good luck geting in to Dr s. I think Charline has been waiting 6 years and I have been waiting  5 years to get in to Dr.B   It has been a long long wait.

Yes, you have had a lonnnnnnnnnnng wait....which is why I feel guilty!  I have already seen Dr S and am just waiting for a call from the hospital now.....this should be the month that we all start getting our calls....at least those who have seen him already!  As I said, we are most fortunate that Dr S came to NB!!!

Don't feel guilty.  It is a wasted emotion (usually).  Enjoy your good fortune, at least compared to Dr B's patients, past and present. . Our experience in NB is still far below that enjoyed in most of Canada. We have to keep pushing for improved medical care for those that follow in our foot steps.
