WLS Support Meeting - Fredericton area

Hi everyone!

Spoke with Catherine today and she is really looking forward to the next meeting in the Fredericton area ... but is having some Internet issues so I am her spoke person for a couple days.

Date - Sat. Feb 7th
Time - early afternoon - watch for specifics
Location - Catherine's house (since no objections were raised)
                 1477 Route 616, Mactaquac (directions can be provided)

She will have her Wii Fit set up for anyone to try and have some healthy diet friendly snacks.

Again this meeting is open to anyone considering, waiting, recovering or living with any of the weight loss surgery types as well as spouses or support people.  Our main purpose is to share support and information so that everyone will be successful in their own journey.

If anyone has any suggestions for topics feel free to post - just in case some research or printouts need to be done beforehand.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again ... and meeting some new faces ... so pray for good weather so my hubby and I will be able to drive up!

Oh I would love to go but weather and hubby's work schedule will be the deciding factors.  I would love to meet everyone there.  If I can't make it I sure will try to get to a Fredericton meeting this spring or summer when weather is more predictable.

Darn, I have to work this weekend, I wish I could have come .  I think I really would benefit from the support right now.  Hopefully, I can attend the next one.

How often do you work weekends?  There will be a support meeting in Moncton on Sat. Feb 21st so hopefully you can make that one instead!

Come on out!

The start time is 2 pm...we will be here all afternoon.    I will be serving a nice little dietary lunch around 4ish.  To build back up our strength after Wii workout!

Michelle will be giving us an information session on Vitamin Supplements which is geared for all Surgeries. 

And I am looking into getting some facts on drugs after surgery.  So if you are coming and you have facts on what works and what does not after your type of surgery for say...birth control, head ache relief, other day to day drugs, when heavy pain relief is needed...what to take or not take...then let me know!

Come on along, it will be a very relaxed informal afternoon for those who have had wls, who might want to have wls, who are awaiting their surgery and the supporters in their lives who want to know more about what this all means!  So...bring that supporter!

The easy directions...

Go 1 mile past Mactaquac park gates, on the left is a little yellow house. 

Parking in the drive way til it is full, then at the church just past house an slightly across the road.  

Those of you feeling oh so fit...please just park at the church...so any of us with mobility problems...don't worry...I will make room for you in the driveway!!  My hubby can run valet parking! :)

is this still a go?  i am getting ready to leave.  is this by mactaquac or is it in keswick ridge.  i thought the 616 is before you get to mactaquac??  i am sure i will find it
