Support Group Meetings - Halifax and Area
HI everyone
I am posting this also on the NB site as so many of us NS gals just post on here - so I am trying to get out the info to as many people possible.
If you are interested in joining a Support Group in HRM- we will be having a meeting in February.
This group will be open to all pre- op patients, those who have had weight loss surgery and certainly anyone who is contemplating surgery. You dont have to be in HRM to belong- all our welcome!
I know I have chatted online with a few people and I have told a few of you that I was trying to reach the lady whose name I was given by the Halifax Clinic . Diana Lawlor told me that this lady would be organizing a patient run support group.
I am still trying to reach her and speak with her to see if the meetings have begun. I will update with any info when I get it.
So looking ahead - I have about 6 people who have contacted me - so lets get this party started! LOL
I will make arrangements for a February meeting - if you respond on this thread and are interested in attending a meeting - please just indicate if you prefer a night time meeting or weekends.
Nothing has to be set in stone right now but it will just give me an idea on how we can get the most turnout for the first meeting.
