All Questions Welcome
I am looking for any help I can get from anyone who has already been to an information session. In Halifax they perform the Vertical Gastric Sleeve. I have some of my own questions, obviously, but I am thinking that if you all share your own previously asked questions with me, there may be some I have forgotton or just not thought of. I am trying to be pro-active and I don't want to leave the session wondering or regretting having forgotten something. Thanks Everyone!
Hello there
I was at the info session in Oct, I am getting Sleeved on Feb 2nd, I am nervous but happy. Where are you from?
You will love the team, they do know their stuff. they do a full disclosure of info, they explain it so well that honestly, they leave very few questions unanswered. if you walk away with more questions, they do give you an email to ask them questions. Just be yourself, and relax, they will explain everything, then you will give them your email, they send you a psyc eval on email to complete, ensure to read the questions carefully. they do repeat in different manors...then they will contact you to meet with the dietition and practical nurse, then if you are chosen, you will go again for dr meeting, and provided msi approves, you will be approved and then one more trip to see the team, then surgery date. a lot of work on your part is needed too. good luck, and enjoy

I just cannot tell you how excited I am to hear from someone from Halifax. I love talking to everyone here but they see the NB doctors and they do a different procedure. So, now I will pick your brain. I am from the Antigonish area. So, tell me one thing i am curious about. The invitation says to come between 1-3. What does that mean. Whay isn't there a set time for the information session to start. Do they just repeat themselves every time someone walks in? OK so getting this letter is not a guarantee that you have the surgery-right? And what type of psyc questions do they ask. LIke why do you want the surgery. Boy I would love to talk to you on he phone if possible. I am the type of person who needs to know everything. I am very detail orientated. What does it take for MSI to approve. Oh my goodness, I am just so full of questions and heaven knows how much I appreciate you dropping me this note. Can I keep in touch?
