I just gotta lose these 6 pounds. I need to lose them clean too. I've decided to go on a no carb diet until Tuesday. I did that most of the summer and lost almost 40 ounds. It's the only way I cansee to lose clean and not rely on exlax or lasix. Starting tomorrow. I will post  my daily weight here. I need to lose 6 pounds on my scale but more like 9 pounds by Dr. B's scale.

I really shouldn't be too hard on myself. last year I weighed 293 and now I weigh  259. Both those weights are on my scale in the am with only underwear on. (I know, horrid imagery) LOL The lowest I got was 249 in October 2008

Charline, I was reading what you said about clothing sizes on another thread and I hope you guys don't think me too crazy but.... In 1990 I wore size 6 with a 26 inch waist. I still have a pair of jeans that I wore then. I have kept them all these years waiting to get back into them. I know I know but the hope was always there. I wear size 6x from Penningtons now. I have no clue what size that is.  Do you suppose?? If I ever get back into them, I will definately post a pic. The jeans are slim leg with bows on the legs. Does anyone remember them?

Good for you Maggie!  That is awesome that you are determined to lose these few pounds without doing something that could harm you.  Your weight loss thus far is awesome and you can do this I know you can.  Just a little while longer and you will be over here on the losers bench.  Keep the positive attitude and take it one meal at a time one 5 minute period of time at a time if you have to.  You are gonna be fine.

Keep us posted on how its going.

Ann

I have not been a size 6 since I was 6!  I will be thrilled to get anything under size 16. I am so jealous of anyone who was ever a size 6, absolutely green!

The" not green" side of me agrees with Ann- you will get back into those jeans.

Just think Charline, Ann, Beth, Michelle and others. At the end of this year, 2009, we will ALL be a lot smaller and a lot healthier. Doesn't matter when in 09 you have surgery by the end of the year we will all be on the same road. :)

P.S. Ever so often ( every couple of years) I dig out those jeans and look wistfully at them and wish....

I have a much larger pair of "Jeans That Fit"(aka JTF)  jeans from Sears circa 1983. Anyone remember those? I think they were a size 12 or 14. I take them out every now and then. I wore them 25 years ago.... man I am I ever a pack rat!  LOL

Oh I hear you there about taking out an older pair of jeans that were your favorite at one time and you didn't want to get rid of them hoping that some day down that road that we would once again fit into them.  I have a pair of those Cote D'sore (sp) jeans with the high rise pockets in the backside that just fit like so and I would love to fit into them again they were a size 9 back in the 80's..hmmmmmmmm I can almost see this happening in a years time or so.   We will all be back into those favorite pants that we so liked...woohooo

Isn't it funny how we can remember a certain pair of jeans. I still have my jeans with the slim legs and the bows on the backs of the legs but I threw away my absolute favorite  jeans. they were the 501's. I don't remember who made them. I'm thinking Levi's but can't remember for sure.  Do you remember? They were the ones with the buttons where the zipper should be. I absolutely loved them.

Oh yeah, My weight this am with just underwear (don't imagine it ,yucch) was 256 and with clothes 259. So I am getting there. I am just not eating carbs nor am I snacking. I need to lose only 3 more pounds to make weight. Don't think I'll have to worry about losing once I start the 2 week liquid diet.
