My mom got a call!!!

She got home today after babysitting for me and had a message from Dr. B's office.

She was on both lists go figure....she was so excited she called me before the Dr....

I'll let you know what it was for as soon as she calls back!

Oh congrats to your mom.  Hopefully you will get the next call.  so you can go through it together.  yeah !!!!!!

Good for your mom!! How long has she been waiting? What procedure is she asking for?

Don't keep us guessing. What was her call for? When? I'm too nosey now. I need to know.LOL

She's been waiting for at least 15 years...at first it was covered by the insurance, then it wasn't......then it was (and the wait re-started)...then it wasn't again....and now it is....

She goes for her initial consult with Dr. Beausoleil on Feb 13th....

I'm so excited for her....to see that finally it will happen....that she may not need a cane to walk or get the motorized buggies at the stores.....it's such an uplifting possibility.....

Wow, I am so glad for your mom. Things seem to be moving a lot faster now. I supose with the 2 new drs in Halifax and Dr. S. in Bathurst there are less of a waiting list for Dr.B.  I had my initial consult with Dr. B. on Nov. 20 and I am scheduled for surgery in Feb.  I think I know how your mom feels. I too walk with a cane and have had to stop working 9 years ago due to my back. Add diabetes, arthritis and a bad heart and I too am excited to have this surgery. Dr. B.said the weight loss should help my back problem quite a bit. Maybe I will even be able to return to work.
