I could see the band working....

Last night I was invited out to dinner with my mothers cousin and wife who were in town.  They took us to a pub near their hotel.  All they had was pub food on the menu.  I ordered fish n chips because I knew what I didn't eat, I could take home tomy husband who would eat it. 
They kept saying how well I was not doing by eating so little.  I opened one of the pieces of fish and ate some of the fish inside the batter.  I ate about 15 french fries and that was it.  I packed up the rest and took it home to Jay.  When they took it away to package it up, it looked like I hadn't touched my plate.  It was hilarious.  I mentioned to my husband later that this is EXACTLY what the purpose of the band is.  Its a tool to help you diet.  It's not a cure or a fix.  This tool allowed me to stop eating at a reasonable time.  Any other time I would have eaten the whole works and not thought anything of it.  It was a real eye opener and appreciation for FELIX!  Go Felix !!!!!

You must see some difference in yourself after an 80 pound loss. I am so happy  that  you and Felix get along so well most of the time. I sippose with any relationship, there are cound to be ups and downs. LOL

Wow Patsy - that was an Ah ha moment there.  I hope that I get to that point after my first fill.  Just now its like I am hanging on with my fingernails.  I just keep following the rules, no more than a cup of food, drink my water and make sure there is enough protein and 3 meals and snacks and that is the only thing helping me.  She Who Must Be Obeyed is bascially on vacation.

I am so glad for you that you are doing well and that Felix is working hard for you.  That is what it is all about.  You used your band and you used your head and calmly managed what could have been a bad situation and turned it into a good one.
