The lap band is not moving, you are experiencing gas plain and simple. If it continues contact the clinic but I am sure they will tell you its gas. Some of us burbled and gurgled more than others after surgery. You will feel different and you will feel funny and things won't feel the same until you get used to it.

ok because havent hade eny gas at all dont nkow why ....and i am feeling good ..not hungry i can only drink like 3 ounce of liquide tho ..don,t nkow if this is ok this is my 5 day getting better each day at lease now i have a choice in food ...did you drink a lot of inshure and slimfast cream of chicken and brocolie .....how many times a day did you eat ??
You are lucky no gas Mona, I had bad pain in my left shoulder from the gas that they use to fill you up so the doctor can see what he is doing in there. I had a laproscopic procedure years ago and the same thing happened. Hurt like blue blazes but this time was not as bad and I am a tough old bird so I just walked up and down my hall to try to work it out and took Gas X.
Another thing is that Patsy told me she gurgled a lot. Her tummy made all kinds of sounds and perhaps she will respond to this post and share her experience with you. I had no gurgling and I have had very little restriction from the very beginning. If I allowed myself I could gulp water and eat just about anything but I am following the rules. If I were to gulp things it could cause slipping of the band or worse and I am not about to do anything to compromise this thing.
Are you drinking slowly? I managed 4 to 6 ounces once I got past the first few days. But that took me like 20 minutes to a half hour to consume that.
I had a problem in that I don't like creamed soups nor could I handle ensure or boost. So by days 3 to 14 I was drinking water, juice, tomato soup, consume and broth Carnation Instant Breakfast, Chocolate milk, Tomato soup and not much else. I had 3 "meals" and 3 "snacks" and I drank water in between. I would have Carnation Breakfast for breakfast and Broth for lunch and tomato soup for supper. For snacks I had juice - apple, cranberry and white grape juice. I also drank water in between trying to follow the rule of no water a half hour before a meal, during a meal or an hour after a meal. I took little sips and took my time drinking the meals and snacks as they are listed on the instruction sheet that Rinette gave me. I also fortified the Carnation Instant Breakfast and Chocolate milk by adding Carnation powdered milk.
You should be aiming for 10 cups of fluid per day at this point as per the instruction sheet. The key is to go slow. You can't drink fast like you would have before surgery.
If you have any questions you can send me a message on my profile page and I will respond privately. Just remember to take your time and don't push the envelope. Follow the instructions to the letter and you will do just fine.
