How long hosp stay?

I should know this but somehow I don't. How long are you in hospital following Banding and following RNY. I do mean with no complications. I'm sure I've been told this but then I heard something else somewhere else so now I am confused.

Lap Band on 10/24/08

Dr. B does lap band same day discharge. Done in outpatients. Not sure about the others....

I believe banding is usually 3-4 days but it may depend on how far away you live. I know Dr Savoie told me that after my DS surgery I will be in Bathurst for nearly a week to watch for complications.

I'm ditto-ing Michelle as it's the same info as what I've heard.

Just wanted to add that was the information I heard for Dr. Savoie, and not Dr. Beausoleil. :-)

When I first went to Dr S I was going for lapband..I had never heard of DS, which I am now getting. He told me that for lapband he keeps you 2 or 3 days.
