WLS Support Meeting in Moncton Details
Hi Jessie,
Things have slowed down considerably because I have not been able to exercise due to this bad cold that refuses to leave me. If I exert myself I end up coughing which hurts my tummy like you wouldn't believe. But I am still losing a little bit each week. I am currently down 20.8 pounds from surgery and 37.2 since my consult on June 30th. However, after the consult I gained and then lost so total from my heaviest weight this summer past I am down 51.2 pounds but the clinic will not count that since I lost it the extra that I had gained again before the info session in September. So officially have lost 37.2 total and 20.8 since Dec 2.
I am not unhappy with that and am very proud that I have not started gaining even though I have not been able to exercise. I am hoping to try the treadmill today and see how that goes. If I can do even 5 minutes without coughing then I am on my way. We are going on a cruise at the end of February. We sail in 43 days so I am hoping to lose a bit more in about 20 of those days so that I can get some new clothes for the trip. And in order to do that I have to exercise.
I am weighing and measuring my food, trying to get lots of protein in each day and keeping the water intake up. My incisions have healed nicely. I started tanning a while ago for the cruise and it sure helped my infected incision dry up and heal nicely. I still have some soreness when I turn the wrong way or bend quickly in the wrong direction but its not so bad that I can't handle it. It sort of feels like a bruise. Not bad at all. I can also feel my port and sometimes that hurts like a bruise too.
I am back to work and doing well there. I just need to get moving more to excelerate the weightloss again. It works out that I have lost an average of 3.45 pounds per week in the nearly 6 weeks since my surgery. Not bad in my books. I am doing just fine and hope to continue to do so.
Thanks for asking,
Ann

Hi Anne,
You are really tackling this so well. And your posts are a godsend for those coming behind you.
Best of Luck to you when you get your fill, but I can already sense you will be a roaring success!
