Dr. Savoie's office received my referral Jan 2

What a relief to hear that from my family doctor telling me they faxed over my referral and Dr. Savoie's office or whoever it was in his office call my doctors office back and confirmed they received it and will be calling me sometime in a next few months for a meeting.  I can't wait, I have a feeling this will be a must shorter wait time then the list is for Dr B.  I will be waiting patiently by my phone for that call.  I will let you all know when I get the call for my appointment at least it will be the beginning of what I have been waiting for a long time.

They really said just a fw months?  Wow, thats awesome...I hope they received mine...I will have to call.  I called Dr Dornan's office before Xmas to have them fax another copy to Dr Savoie's they said they would but I havnt called to confirm yet.  I better eh.  I was thinking I should see if my family dr will write a referral too, do you think that would help the process if they had 2 referrals from different doctors or just confuse the situation....do you have Dr savois fax number, I know he was moving around alot?  Great news for you...keep in touch.  I miss talking to you, we'll have to get together soon

Yes that is what the secretary said to me on Friday when I went in to my family doctors office to make an appointment.  So I was really happy to hear that even if it is long then a few months I am still excited because I know that his list is not as long as Dr B's is because I am in the thousands on his list and he is only in the 300's right now so it will be a long time for me I am sure.  I can't seem to find Dr Savoie's fax number at the moment but I think a few messages before this someone had posted both doctors numbers and Dr Savoie's fax number as well.  I will find it and send it to you.  Yes I miss chatting with you as well...I will have to come over some weekend for a visit I am off every Saturday and Sunday so that works out good for me if I wnat to go visiting anyone.  Let me know what your up to one of these weekends.  Here is my new number 658-9081  give me a call when you have the chance.

Yes Patience sure is a virtue and sometimes not easy to be.  But I feel that having connections with everyone on here for support and to chat is great and helps with the waiting time as we are all in that boat or have been at one point.  Here is to a weight loss year for all in 2009!!!

Congrats on  getting on the list. It makes a person feel so much better to know that it will be in  months instead of years.   I had my consultation with Dr. S in October.   Waiting is no fun .  But to go on Dr B list is a 5-6 YEAR wait !!   I am on his list too for a year maybe . I should call & cancel that one . Has anyone else done this ?  Good Luck with the waiting ...I really wish I was more patient !   I feel like its my last chance  at a healthy life !

Thank you, I have been waiting to see Dr. B for almost 3 years now and when I had called about a month or more ago they told me that I was in the thousands on his list and he was still only in the 300's so she said ti would probably be quite some time before Dr B would even see me so that was very discouraging to hear.  Then I read about Dr Savoie I felt there was actually going to be a light at the end of the tunnel so here I am now on his list as well as Dr B's I know I will get in to see Dr Savoie way before Dr B but I will keep my name on his list as well.

Hi Beth,  I guess reading your posts just awnsered my questions....and gave me hope!  Months sounds so much better than years!  Does anyone know how long it takes to get the surgery after your initial consult with Dr. Savoie?   Thanks to all.  xx Tina
