I won't be doing that again!!!!

Poor secretary!!!  she was brushing me off... I got the feeling that she just wanted to tell me, be patient... you'll get your call from the hospital when they call you and there's nothing I can do about it.

I don't blame her... but it was the first time I was calling.  I just felt bad for her... I'll be patient!!

Basically she said he didn't start yet and she doesn't know when...  I feel bad!

So ... should we do a search for the phone number for the Bathurst Operating Room?  Perhaps they have the schedule handy???  LOLOL

That makes me grateful for Dr B's receptionist, Nathalie. She is always pleasant and patient. I always apologize and she always says it's no problem. She also checks her list or whatever for me. I may send her flowers when this is all over with!

Hmmm, when I have called the receptionist at Dr B's office has been friendly but certainly never went out of her way - only gave the line ... working on the list, wait will be 5 years, have no idea where you are on the list and no way to check, we will call you ... hmmm.

Re calling the OR scheduling- who does the actual booking differs from hospital to hospital, In Fredericton it is a nurse on the OR suite. At the Dumont, it is the pre-op clinic. Just call the main  number and ask who books the surgeries, and for the direct number for future use.

I just think that the secretary is really not involved. She is basically the temp secretary. She was Dr. Bartlett secretary before and once Dr. S is set up in the hospital, she will not be handling the surgery calls or handling the surgery details.

I am sure she is getting millions a day from everyone and basically it is what it is, they havn't began yet- the hospital will call once it's your turn.

Once the hospital is set up with all the staff, I'm sure calling won't be a problem, like it is now with Dr. B.
