call for surgery !

Cat...you are getting me excited too!  I've been trying really hard not to think about it because it was so far away and it was still undecided if I would qualify!  I had my test and it was negative so I just have to get my dr to send the results to his office and get myself back on his list.  He promised it wouldn't interfere with my place in the line up!!  Even Dr. MacGibbon (Fton's endocrinologist) said she would provide him with whatever she could to make it happen! I see my dr again tomorrow so things should start moving once again.........and I hope you're right, that someone does get a call tomorrow!  We should be right up there at the top of the list or close anyway!!!  To be honest, I have to say that I am scared to death and I don't know why!  I guess my last surgery didn't go so well and I worry that it might happen again.  My family dr tells me it's no where near the same level of difficulty as the last but somehow that doesn't stay with me!  Thank goodness I have a very supportive husband who holds my hand and reassures me constantly that I'm doing the right thing!   Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Hi Casey...its hard not to get excited ...I am scared too. The last surgery I had was my first , on my shoulder , I had so many complications . I had so many tests , all turned out neg. but it really scared me .   I just got a cpap machine last Tues. so I will take that with me .   Are you having lapband done or another one . We may have surgery on the same day if you are having lap ,because we had consultation on the same day .  I wi**** was all over & we were on the way down the scales.  Good Luck , try not to worry too much (she says ).   Let  us know if YOU get the call .............!!!

May take a little while for the special shakes to be shipped ... so maybe not the 19th, but who knows!

Over Christmas I had this feeling about Feb 2nd - has been a consistant day for several major life turning points....

day hubby and I got together - 1991
day we found out we were pregnant for first time - 1995
day after our first son's open heart surgery - 1996
day of my own tonsilectomy - 2001

Looks like it is near time for another "life changing" event on the 2nd!  LOLOLOL

My shakes were ordered on a Thursday and they arrived by Purolator the following Monday and I started them on Tuesday.   I sure hope you guys all get your call soon.  I will be thinking positive thoughts for you from here on in. 

I feel my surgery day is probably right up there on the list of major life events for me too.

Hello Ann,  how are you doing ?   I know I must bug you ,  but are you losing any weight lately?  How are you feeling ?   Has the surgery made a big difference in your life so far , like changes ?So your shakes were 4 days in  arriving , that was a good. Does the nurse give you an address on where to order them?   Is it true that you may use slimfast or boost in that 2 weeks ?

I hope you're right and that I won't be too far behind.   If he does 5 in a day, we can have a party!!!!   hahahaha   I don't think we will feel like doing the cha cha in recovery but it would be nice to meet some of you.

I just wanna date.   I started this morning slowly to have a slimfast meal replacement in the morning and we are doing ww points.  My husband started with me cause he gained weight lately as well.  It's nice to have that support.

I LOVE him SO much!!!

OMG Cat!   My heart was racing when I saw your post title " call for surgery"  I sure hope Dr. Savoie is not far from where he thought he would be this year.  I saw him on Oct 16...am getting the DS, and he said within 6 months, I would be well on my way to recovery.  Has anyone touched base with his temp Office yet this year?  Can you imagine how many of us will be able to say I had WLS in 2009!!!!  Whoot Whoot.

Hi, I got 3 phone calls today , not from Dr. S's office .   Someone should call the office & see what is happening now .  I thought sractears  was going to give them a dingle.   I could be wrong .   Soon...sooon.........we will be on the optifast & growling that it tastes awful ...lol
