Weekly Weigh In
Well something caught up with me. I managed to gain 3 lbs at ww this week. It's funny, I lost over xmas and gained over new years. I haven't been the gym in 2 weeks so this could contribute I suppose. Anyway it is what it is. Better luck next week.

Hey Patsy, chin up it could be nothing more than water or something.
Do you keep a food journal? You are doing so well!
Life usually has a way of reminding us we are only human.
I'm sure you'll get right back on track and it and some more will be gone in no time.
I was down a bit when I went back on the 29th for which I was grateful but they reminded me to be careful and keep measuring so I have been. I only weigh offically one a month when I go the surgeons office but I weigh every day at home.
Anyway keep on keeping on and good luck!!

Patsy, that really sucks. You would think that with your new restriction , you would be losing like crazy . I would really like to know the reason why you would gain. How much food can you eat at a time ? Is it only a cup or so? I am sorry that you didn't lose but maybe next week, you will lose a lot.
I have a feeling it was the seafood chowder I made. I used cream and that has a high fat content. I didn't expect to eat too much of it but as it turned out i had it for supper 3 times. I didn't want to waste all that good lobster and seafood that went into it. It could also be due to the lack of exercise over the past 2 weeks. I didn't expect to gain either but who knows. Next week will tell the tale.

I made a seafood chowder also before Xmas , & when I make it , I make a stockpot half full. I use 18% cream ....half pound real butter. I use scallops , large & small . All kinds of fish, except cod, I use small & large shrimp too. To make a long story short , I gained 5 lbs. that week. I gave some away , but ate the rest . It's a good thing that I only make it once a year .
See what I mean. that last time I made it was when i was on pureed back in November and i gained that week as well. that's it for me. I wasn't sure at first if that is what did it, but now I'm convinced. It's delicious but not worth it. I'd rather lose every week that enjoy a meal or two. I can live without it. It's just that here in halifax/Dartmouth the lobster fishermen were on every corner with their truck selling lobster due to the price war and couldn't resist the lobster. First I thought I would make a lobster sandwich but rethought that due to the stuck episode with the bread. so i did the chowder and thought others would eat it up but didn't have as much company as I expected so had more than my share for myself. grrrrr. anyway, I should have wasted it and not eaten it. but it's gone now.
