1-Did you gain any weight over Christmas?
Yep! I gained a pound, but I didn't weigh myself this morning.......I must confess to gaining 2 pounds before Christmas too. So, I have to confess that my diet ticker is lying!! No lectures please! I know that I may pay a price for my foolishness. I normally gain about 10 to 15 pounds over Christmas, so I am staying positive.

I didn't bake a thing, other that frozen pies (I made with Splenda) for Christmas dinner. I had a shake for lunch every day at work too. I didn't buy any candy or chocolate for the house either, but I did partake elsewhere. I didn't touch one sweet at wor****il Christmas eve. Over all I think I did well. If i had kept the exercise up, I wouldn't have gained at all.
3-What was your best gift?
My best gift was some books from my daughters and my DH- 2 books on making wire jewelry, 1 on making sugar flowers, 1 Jeffery Deaver novel, and 2 John Patterson novels
4- Did you see family or friends over the holiday that you haven't seen in years?
I saw my niece in Richibucto, whom I have not seen in 6 years.
5-Did you have a happy or sad or mixed emotion Christmas?
I had a mixed emotion Christmas. Christmas Eve I was very blue because 2 of my children weren't coming home. I did my best to pretend that it was just another night at home. It was a transition year and even when you know they are coming, it doesn't mean you are going to sail through. Christmas day was very pleasant- both missing kids called- more than once. Because 2 children and a boyfriend were away, we were down 5 people and everything was less hectic- so it was not all bad. My nephew and his wife came for the afternoon and supper and I love seeing them. I was happy and relaxed Christmas day.
6-If you didn't have a "made for TV " Christmas, what are you going to do over the next year or next year to improve your Holiday?
7-Did Santa bring you something fun or silly?
I will have fun learning new stuff from my books and DH and i received 2 restaurant gift certificates. I know prudence is in order.....
8-Did you get to play in the snow?
Nope- wish I did.
9-When do you take your decorations down?
I don't touch my decorations until January 8th!!! At home we always followed the tradition of Epiphany or "little Christmas" on January 6th. Then i came along and the decorations stayed up until after my birthday party on January 8th. Mom loved Christmas, so i don't think it took a lot for her to keep the decoration a few days longer!
10-Have you started shopping for next year yet?
Absolutely! I have bought some decorations, i just couldn't live without. A screwdriver set, and some paper. I will be picking up more as January and February sales evolve!

1-Did you gain any weight over Christmas? I don’t think so. I weighted myself and I was the same. The good news is that Christmas is not really a time where I splurge that much. I mean I had the turkey and potatoes, but sweets aren’t very big in my family.
2-What good food choices did you make over the holidays that you are happy of or proud of? We went to a Chinese buffer and I only had one plate and it wasn’t filled either!
3-What was your best gift? I got a slow cooker and a heating pad! We cooked a roast in the cooker and it was soo good!
4- Did you see family or friends over the holiday that you haven't seen in years? Nope! I see my family on a daily basis. No one from out of town came this year.
5-Did you have a happy or sad or mixed emotion Christmas? It had mixed emotions
6-If you didn't have a "made for TV " Christmas, what are you going to do over the next year or next year to improve your Holiday? My appearance. I haven’t shopped for clothing in a long time and I didn’t put much effort this year. Usually dressing up is the fun part, but this year I was kind of down about that.
7-Did Santa bring you something fun or silly? I got this beautiful address book, but I can’t use it. My aunt got it for me at the Republic and it’s not really user friendly, which to me is pretty silly! It’s made of wood and it has this huge Crayon and it’s very pretty. I couldn’t even get myself to use it!
8-Did you get to play in the snow? No, I don’t like snow really.
9-When do you take your decorations down? I didn’t decorate this year. We have two cats and I was scared the tree was going to end up on the floor- but next year for sure!!! I really missed having a Christmas tree!
10-Have you started shopping for next year yet? Haha Charline this one made me laugh!!! NO. I hate xmas shopping! I only shop for others during the Christmas season, after that it’s time to shop for me!!! HAHA
1-Did you gain any weight over Christmas? Nope I lost.
2-What good food choices did you make over the holidays that you are happy of or proud of? What worked for you? (Remember just because you gained a pound or two or.... it does not mean that you are a failure, it has nothing to do with your worth as a human being. Celebrate the good stuff!) I managed to stay on pureed foods with ease. Just started regular diet yesterday.
3-What was your best gift? nintendo wii - just waiting for the wii fit to become more readily available - couldn't get one anywhere before Christmas
4- Did you see family or friends over the holiday that you haven't seen in years? Well my brother-in-law and his wife are here from Ontario we haven't seen them in 2 years. Nice visit.
5-Did you have a happy or sad or mixed emotion Christmas? Mixed, I love Christmas but my oldest son was on storm damage in Nova Scotia and did not get home until Saturday. We had saved gifts to open with him so we had a "second Christmas" when he got home. We had a good Christmas day with the rest of the family but missed him terribly.
6-If you didn't have a "made for TV " Christmas, what are you going to do over the next year or next year to improve your Holiday? I am not a fan of "made for TV". I don't seek perfection in the holiday. I try to give thoughtful gifts, I don't overdo the decorations. We don't do a lot of food and we just try to enjoy being together. In not seeking perfection - it comes naturally.
7-Did Santa bring you something fun or silly? Nope.
8-Did you get to play in the snow? Now why would I want to ruin my Christmas by doing that? I prefer to imagine the fun I will have playing in the sunshine on my cruise in February.
9-When do you take your decorations down? Probably not until next weekend. I love my tree. My husband jokes that we have to dust the ornaments before we put them away. My tree has been up since the end of November.
10-Have you started shopping for next year yet? Of course! I picked up a few things the other day for hubby.
