How did you move today?
As A follow up to Rachel's post about exercise and drinking water etc. I am going to drive you all crazy with asking this question almost daily. If someone else wants to post about other goals, that would be great.
Today I went to the O'Rea Center (hence forth know as the track or walking track) and Nordic walked for 30 minutes and did 10.5 laps (8 laps = 1 mile). I am posting the number of laps so I can track improvement in pace. I find it hard to move fast because of my arthritis. For those of you that don't know what Nordic walking is- it is walking with 2 walking sticks that are similar to cross country ski poles. When you use them, you burn 40% more calories. My back and and knees are a lot better with my "sticks".

Good for you! I would love to try that sometime. There is a group here in the city that walks Monday - Friday at different locations and can rent the poles from them as well. I should check it out!
For me, I was a zealot today -- did 3 back to back classes at the gym - Body Combat, Body Pump and then Pilates. I want to finish the year with a BANG!
