That's wonderful. I wanted one of those but didn't want to ask my kids for it. I'll get one in the new year before I have surgery, I was thinking it would be good for pureeing food too. You must be happy to have one. :)

A magic bullet eh, I often wondered what they would be like. Of course, the infomercial is awesome. I have a blender, food processor, personal blender and a food chopper so would the bullet do anything they don't.  I would love to have one if it would be useful or even more convenient that the above mentioned. Let me know. Cheers

Hi there

I got my magic bullet before surgery to do my optifast in........ and I have not stopped using - despite all the kitchen gadgets I have it is wonderful.

My shake I make in the morning with protein powder goes in the bullet as do frozen blueberries and a lowfat/lowcarb yogourt and skim milk- its very non protein tasting and I love it will crush ice or frozen berries - I need for my protein drinks to be ice cold. The more cold the better and less protein after taste- I also drink the protein drink out of coffee travel mugs so the opening is little which makes me slowly sip and it keeps it very cold the 45 minutes it takes to drink.

I think I have almost warn mine out in the 6 months so I am keeping an eye out for another so I wont be caught off guard.

I could do a wls magic bullet commercial I am sure

As far as puree'ing food its a little strong for some things- it got to a not so yummy stage- I liked my lil mini food chopper for puree'ing  food in the puree stage.

Good luck and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Posted this on the DS board so thought I would share with my local buddies too!

Once again Christmas was a special time with family and friends, sharing great food, many laughs and some cool presents!

Rotisserie/Convection toaster oven
Food Dehydrator
Magic Bullet
Cookbook on soups
Electric Pepper Mill
Momma Mia movie

Kids got Rockband for the Wii plus Wii Music so lots of "music" in the air here!

Since I am still pre-op I plan to practice with the new appliances on some of the great recipes posted.  Already have a slow cooker that I love to use.

Probably the most surprising gift I received was being able to share with my step father and brothers that I will be having weight loss surgery this winter and not getting judged, ridiculed or belittled.  My mom has known for a few months but I was really leery to tell my step father as he can be very emotionally cruel and often makes a point to "share" his opinion on my weight.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas (or alternate holiday) and have a safe and Happy New Year.

I am looking forward to 2009 - the healthier me - and send wishes for many blessings to all!
