question???

Does anyone know if you had the lap band in Ontario, if they will do the fill in Moncton. I was wondering because a family friend had hers done in October in Toronto, and she just went back for a fill, and it seems a long way to travel, if they will do it here?

Her best bet would be to contact the office directly and ask.  Based on some previous comments on the board here I would guess they do not ... but there may be other options like a family doctor or nurse who has been trained in the procedure.

Dr B does only his own patients, which he can hardly keep up with. There is a nurse in NS trained, I think she is in New Glasgow. I can try to find her name if you want.

Dr. B's clinic also states that if you get anyone other than them to do a fill you will negate any guarantee/warranty that comes with the band he uses.  Once someone else touches your band he relinquishes all responsibility for any complications that may arise.  Which I think is pretty reasonable all things considered.
