all I want for xmas is a call!

can't wait!!   tick tock tick tock...  I'm hearing the jeopardy song all the time!!!  hahahahaha

I know the wait is annoying!!!! but don't expect a call before christmas because my coworker's best friend is one of Dr. S's new nurse and she told her that they weren't beginning to call people for surgeries until January. :/

I guess she is the one who will call and give all the details. I even have her name writen down at work. I can't wait till they open in the hospital so I can begin harrasing them :P

Dr. S told me I would be done before xmas or in the first week of January. Odviously I won't be done before xmas, but I am hoping for the middle of January :)

Let's wait together patiently or impatiently...haha

I'm not really sure why Dr. S would have told anyone they'd be done in January if no one is getting called *until* January.  From my understanding, there is a month between your call, and the date you're booked for surgery; giving you time to have the pre-op stuff done.  I'm thinking that February would be the best time to expect the surgery date.  He told me it wouldn't be until maybe April.  So, I'm just patiently waiting, and not expecting a particular month, b/c who knows what they need to get accomplished.  But I am going on the 1 month from call to surgery date comment that he made....

Too funny that you say you will harrass them at the hospital.  I actually called the hospital the other day to see if they had any information on how the clinic was coming along.  The lady that answered had no information.

I am very anxious also.  Dr. S told me within 6 months I will have had surgery..that was on Oct 16th. However, he also told me he would be starting surgery in late Dec, early Jan...and assumed that my 6 month estimate was a "give her the worst case scenario"

I called Dr S's secretary the other day too...she said the next call I get will be from the hospital...approx 1 month before my actual surgery date.

 Right...So it looks like if they're not going to *start* calls until January, the earliest procedure will be done in February.  Which is nothing to get worked up about!  Much better than the poor folks who have been waiting years!!

I think it’s really hard to say at this point what will or what won’t happen. Dr. S did tell me I would be done before xmas- I mean obviously there has been delays in his plans; the clinic did not set up as quickly as he had hoped, etc.   When I spoke to the secretary a couple of weeks ago, she told me the hospitals were beginning calls in January but she also told me he was beginning to do lapband surgeries in January.  So there is some conflicting information. We will only know once one of us receives the actual call.     It doesn’t really matter whether it’s January or February.

try to get some inside scoop and let us know ok?!
