staples

I am supposed to get my staples out in the morning.  10:30 to be exact.  Now the weatherman is playing with me saying its gonna storm.  I want my staples out!  They hurt and are all red and I am about ready to go nuts they bug me so much.  Why this doctor is so adamant that they stay in for 3 weeks is beyond me.  Did you know that they are only meant to be left in place for 7 days, not 21?  That is what Caroline at the clinic told me.  Oh well, I will just have to play it by ear and hope that I can get there in time to have them removed.  If not, well I guess I will have to wait a day.  If not, I am going to my local hospital to have them removed because much longer and I will have serious infection issues.

Plus Patsy is due for her first fill tomorrow afternoon.  I hope the weather does not complicate that for her.  I am dying to know what her first fill will be like.  And I was hoping to meet up with her at some point.  Gotta love winter in the Maritimes!

We are still planning on coming up.  We have all day to get there.  Don't worry about connecting with us. You take care of yourselves and drive safely.  My feeling is that by the time we come up. hopefully the plows will be in full force.  On the other hand yours is so early you may have a different situation to face.  we will watch as the day goes on.  stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Charline,

Lise told me that some people do and Dr. Beau gets angry.  She said one woman got her husband to take them out, others have gone to their own doctor to get them out but he wants them in there for 3 weeks regardless.  So I am hanging in there.

The weather being what it is this morning, I can't get out of my yard but Carline said she will take them out this afternoon if I can get out of the yard and if I can navigate the horrible road conditions.  If not, she will see me tomorrow afternoon.  Hubby and I are watching the weather and road conditions on the weather channel and will decide if we want to try it after lunch.

Gotta love winter in the Maritimes.
