Family Doctor is going to fax copy of original referral to Dr. Savoie today

Well I just got off the phone after calling Dr Savoie's temp office and the secretary gave me the fax number there to get my family doctor to send over my original referral that had been sent to Dr. B's office 3 years ago, I decided to do it this way instead of call Dr. B's office back and having them do it then that way my name is on both lists.  While I was talking to the secretary at Dr. Savoie's office she was telling me this morning that they are not doing any consults any longer until his permenant office and clinic is set up at the Bathurst hospital in January some time but she will send over any faxes that come in to her in the mean time.  She also told me to call her back at the temp number in January and she will have the new phone number at the hospital by that time to contact Dr Savoie to see about the list and where I would be at that time.  I am getting really excited as she said there is probably a list now but would not be the 3 or so years wait to see Dr B, so I was very thankful to hear that.  She also said that it should move along fast but also depending on how many days he gets a month for consults etc and then the operating time.  I can't wait maybe my dreams and wishes are going to come true in the following year heres to hoping.

Good for you Beth- Dr B's office does not know all....and what they don't know won't hurt them!! A lot of people are on both lists.

Well you did have good luck , congrats . I am so happy for you , I know how you feel to get closer to the goal .... I tried Dr.B too & was told a 5-6 year wait , I was so down hearted. We will have the Xmas & NY to enjoy in the old traditional way , I guess.  I am trying to lose weight on my own,so I am going to try & be a bit careful .  Just wanted to say CONGRATS on getting on the list.

Thank you very much I am so happy to know that there is someone else in NB that will be doing this procedure too bad there is not more doctors here.  Tomorrow I will be calling my family doctors office to make sure they were able to fax over my referral today and I will also call Dr Savoie's office to.  I guess you could say I am protecting my assets  or looking after them.  I went to bed this morning after working all night and slept like a baby for the first time in awhile knowing that something is going forward and right in my life.  I am sure there is going to be a healthy list of people already on there but I am sure it is not as long as Dr. B's.

Doesn't it feel good to know that you may just get your life back and you dont' have to wait for 5 yrs to do so????  The reason I'm contacting you is to get Dr Savoie's fax number.  I'm going to see my dr on Monday and he has a report that has to be sent to Dr S and I'm hoping he'll fax it rather than post it if I can give him a fax #.  I was going to call the office today but forgot.  Besides I think that poor secretary must be swamped with all our calls.,...but that's her job!!!! I left her a message a couple weeks ago and she never called back but if she's not taking any more consults that explains why she didn't call back. 
I hope you don't mind to give me that number.  I would really appreciate if you did!

Yes it feels totally awesome I am so excited to know that even when I get on this list I know it is not going to be as long as Dr. B's is thank goodness.  The fax number for Dr Savoie's temp office for now is 506-548-1898  when she receives it she will take it over to the hospital for Dr Savoie to put with the rest.
