saw Caroline about infection

Hi everyone,
I saw Caroline yesterday at the clinic.  She is not too concerned with my staples.  Although they are red, angry looking and very sore apparently its not unusual and there is no infection in 4 of my 5 incisions.  The one incision that opened up early on and has been infected did not trouble her too much.  She said it just may take longer for that one to heal.  It was not red out around it and there was no heat around the incision and so she told me to just continue to keep it clean for the next wee****il I get the staples out on Monday and to let it out to the air so that it will dry up better.  So I sat in the living room last nigh****ching a bit of TV with my tummy sticking out to the breezes. Ha ha.

I am glad I went though.  Because things were red and the one incision was so gooey (sorry TMI ) I was concerned and Caroline did not mind taking the time to see me and reassure me that everything was fine.  Better safe than sorry.

Today is puree day,  I am so excited but worried too that I will start gaining so I am going to try to walk some on the treadmill this morning.  Start slow and work my way back up to my pre surgery speed and distance.  Its been 2 weeks since surgery and I am so looking forward to the next step in the process.

Not going back to wor****il after the holidays so this is going to give me lots of time to get used to everything and be comfortable with eating since I have to carry my lunch to work.

Wrapping Christmas prezzies today.

I'm surprised she didn't remove the staples.  It's so close to the date they are due to come out anyway.  Hopefully they will mend quickly once they are out.  Let me know about Monday.  Patsy
