Bathurst Surgery

Hello!

Just a head's up that I called Dr. Savoie's office and they have not yet begun to call people for surgery. The secretary told me that he will have his own section in the hospital but it is not ready yet.   This is the only information I could gather.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated!

I thought about this and I hope it doesn't take too much time... you know how these projects can take some time... did she sound like it would be on schedule?

I'm not sure but I know what you mean. When I saw Dr. S he told me i would be done before xmas or first week of Jan at the latest. It does sound like the plans have backdated a little bit because I still havn't received my call (I jump each time the phone rings I swear to god)

Thanks Scartears....for the one up on the surgery.  It usually doesn't take a lot of time to set a place for him to see is pateints . If they have the space its just a  matter of  moving & knowing which room is for what ????  He said that surgeries will start in Jan ....so we will see. I hope that we don't have to wait too long .

 

I called Dr. Savoie's office yesterday and left a message on the answering machine for a call back as I am on the list at Dr. B's office but I am in the thousands on the list and they are only doing calls in the 300's so she said it would be quite a wait for me.  I am anxiously waiting for Dr. Savoie's office to call me back but I figured today where is was so nasty they may not have been in the office so tomorrow I will call in the morning to follow up on my previous call and see if I can have my referral sent to them from Dr. B's office.   I hope that the wait for Dr. Savoie is certainly not going to be as long as Dr. B's.  Once I speak with them and get my information I will be calling Dr. B's office and have them fax my family doctors referral over to them from 3 years ago and I will let you know on here have things go.

I was on Dr. B's  list too for two years until I head about Dr. S....I actually already saw Dr. Savoie for my Consultation in October on his first day. I am getting my surgery in January *suppose to anyway*

From what I know now, is that consults will continue in January. He has stopped doing consults right now until his area in the hospital is up and running.

He begins surgery in January but trust me that the list is not as long as Dr. B! If you send your referal you will be in for surgery in 2009 I'm sure...so hurry to get that referral woman! :P

well I think it's to gather is whole team, the same as Dr. B. He needs a nutritionist, pre and post opt nurses, etc.He actually told me I would be done before xmas or early jan at the latest...so I mean it sounds like there was a slight delay.

Well I will certianly be contacting Dr Savoie's office bright and early this morning and getting the referral letter faxed over as well...I will need his fax number first I just have his office number at the moment.  I am excited now after such dismal news from Dr. B's office.   It was just like getting a kick in the teeth but I also knew he had a very very long list to begin with. 

I will post today some time today after I hear something back.,

Things move quickly sometimes. June 7 2006 I was # 1010 on Dr. B's waiting list. I called June 9, 2007 and his nurse said she was still booking people who had gotten approved by medicare in 2006.  Called  July 3 2007 and was told I was #38 on the list. I called back October 6 2007 and she said she was trying to find my phone number to call me and she gave me my initial appointment. So things move fast sometimes.
