Hi,
Lets make a very clear concise list here of references on the web that anyone could print out and take to their Family Dr. when asking for WLS.  We should think about what will get the most respect:

ie.
- Bariatric Societies documents
- Canadian Doctors who have written research Studies
- Top Surgeons who have written studies
- Canadian guidlines on criteria per province on who qualifies.

Lets keep this thread as a clean list of references, so that newbies can come here and get some ammunication to have all printed with pertinent sentences higlighted.  So if their Family Dr. balks, they have a ton of facts and figures all ready to show.

Be very careful with information posted by clinics who are selling surgeries.  Their facts may very well be correct, but it will not be respected.

Here is a List of the Surgeons who are on the Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons known as the CABPS.  Suggest to look up their names in Google for studies or research papers by these guys as they are to top dogs in Canada I expect.
