I just got confirmation that the referrals for my Mom and I went through.

There won't be any new consults scheduled until the New Year and then Dr Savoie will be seeing the patients at the hospital so we have to wait for the hospital to call.

Yay!  At least the referrals are in!

Talk to you soon!

Oh Charline I am soooooooo happy for you!!!!!!!!  Confirmation is a wonderful wordisn't it?  Now its just a matter of time.  There is no IF any more but only WHEN.  In the meantime I would encourage you to start doing some things to aid the process.  Start planning how you will handle things after the consult.  I gave up bread and carbonated drinks the day after my consult.  If I had been smart, I would have been thinking about doing that beforehand, psyching myself for the things I would have to do.  So think about all the things that will be required of you beforehand.  Try to get ready mentally for what lies ahead.  Its all about being calm and self assured and certain in your mind that you are doing the right thing for you.  Then by the time you get to the consult you will be prepared, calm, and the doctor will be impressed with your preparation.  Continue to research and learn as much as you can about the surgeries that this doctor offers because ultimately he will guide you towards the kind of surgery that he feels is best for you.  Even if you are set on one kind of surgery be open to all the possibilities and weigh all the pros and cons as they apply to you and your lifestyle and who you are.

Again, I am so happy for you.  The time will speed by and you will be over here with me and Patsy and clawrence and the others in no time.

Woohoo!

I have always said that perseverance is key in all areas of life!  Now you can focus on the next step of the journey.  Do lots of research, enjoy your Christmas and simply eat healthy while you wait.  Little exercise wouldn't hurt, lol and not just wrapping/unwrapping presents.

Take care and keep in touch.
Live, Love, Laugh - Life is short so enjoy today!
