vertical sleeve?
And as it is so new to NB...maybe you can help those here doing research to understand why someone would choose to have this type of Surgery?
Whats to like?
Here in NB, the whole concept of choosing your surgery...then your Dr... is relatively new as there was little choice. I believe you must be choosing your Sleeve surgery...so...what can you tell us?
Thanks,

Hi Catherine,
As far as i understand the sleeve does not involve any re-routing of intestines and has no mal-absorbtion issues. Your diet is restricted in volume but almost all foods are still tolerable after you begin eating solids again and the complication rate is much lower than with other weight loss surgeries. It is also not as invasive as it is done laproscopically.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask me more. I have not had the surgery but have been reading lots!
I wonder what the wait is like there in NB?
Thanks
Liz
There is a forum here on this site I believe. Do you find they have alot of good information? Or if you dont mind my asking...where do you get your sleeve research?
It might help others reading and wondering aobut the sleeve.
Thanks,
C
