I'm back!!!!! good to be almost home.

My family and I are sitting in Halifax Airport waiting for a flight to Freddy Beach. I am anxious to gte home, see my Kitties, and to catch up with all of you. I plan to post some pictures and catch up on my blog soon.  Of course, I am going to call Nathalie tomorrow and hope she has an appointment for me to sign the papers. The good news is that I didn't gain any weight in the land of we fry everything.  I weighed myself here on the bagage scale at the airport and it was the same as at the informayion session. i will know for sure when I get home.  I am not kidding about Scotland being the land of we fry everything; they have a dessert which is deep fried Marrs Bar and we went out for breakfast and the toast were deep fried- yuck!!  It is difficult to get salad, even as a side to a meal, never mind as a main course!  I will send this b efore my laptop dies.

Welcome back Charline,  If you did not gain weight in the land of We Fry Everything, then the time up to your surgery day will be a breeze for you.  I look forward to the photos you are planning to post.  I hope Nathalie has an appointment for you but remember you have to lose a little bit of weight for signing day.  It has to be down to continue.  Once you sign the papers things will move very fast.  I signed mine on October 23, Pre-Admission on November 13th and tomorrow - yes TOMORROW is my surgery.  You are right behind me so we will have lots of things to share in the coming few weeks.  Glad you are back in Canada though.  And with Christmas coming things are going to be just grand.

Thanks Ann!  I will be sending you positive energy all day tomorrow. Everything will go fine. AND you made it through the Optifast!! Unfortunately my  home scale says I am up 2 pounds, but my measuring tape is looking good. I am down a few inches total. I wore a pedometer and I walked 18 to 20 thousand steps every day, except travel days. I hope that is taken into consideration.

Welcome back Charline.  Hope you had a great trip...and now down to the nitty gritty.   Hopefully you will get your date soon.  I still haven't been called for a fill and am getting anxious.  I gained again this week and I don't think that's supposed to happen.  Welcome back !

I thought that Dr. Beau was training another doctor to work with him for fills and that Lise was going to be learning how to do fills.  Gee - at the rate you are going and if that continues I won't get a fill before I go on my cruise in February.  That might be a good thing though.  I won't be so worried about getting stuck and sliming in some fancy shipboard restaurant.

Sadly you can still get stuck and slime without a fill.    with the buffets they have, I'd pray for a fill before I went !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to know.  Thanks Pasty.  I am not sure what I want at this point.  Well yes I do know.  I want my surgery to be over and I want to be back home here feeling miserable but at least home with my honey.  Ha ha.

Natalie told me that the doctor does the first fill and then after that it could be Dr. Roi or Lise if she is certified by then. 

I have read- several times, that gaining a bit between starting food and the first fill is rather common. All in good time, it will be fine. I know you must be anxious after all you have been through and you are not loosing at the moment, but you will loose. Your system has been thrown for a loop, it will come around. Keep the faith. Why don't you post a question on the lapband forum and see what others experienced?

Oh I did post and yes the concensus is that this is normal, but I want to be above average.  Normal sucks.  I paid out of my pocket so I wanna see something for my money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Natalie has take care of me and I'm thrilled !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
