dr. s and the nutritionist prior to op
Hi everyone... Happy Saturday
my friend's mother had her consultation this thursday and I asked her to ask Dr. S. if we had to meet the nutritionist before the surgery. I forgot to ask him during my consultation and a few answered that we didn't have to go down prior to the pre admin. He however told her that she would meet the nutritionist one month prior to the op. I wonder if it's different from patient to patient, or if it's conflicting information?
Either way, I started a new healthier lifestyle and already lost 4 pounds!!!!

When I saw Dr S he said that I would meet the rest of his staff and sign more paperwork 1 month prior to the surgery. At that time he would also write the prescription for the Optifast.
When I spoke to his receptionist this week she mentioned that by Jan he would have a clinic at the hospital and would be doing some consults/meetings there instead of the office. I would suspect that would be where the next meeting would be with the nurse, nutritionist and psychologist or rest of his staff.
Not sure how many surgeries he will be preforming per week but he was hoping to have OR time on Wednesdays. Since I will be having the DS he said that I would be staying over the weekend and if things go well only stay about a week - told him I would rather stay longer and be healed well than drive all the way home and have a complication. Plus it would give me a little more time off "motherhood" although I may go into withdrawal not having my laptop! LOLOL
