Another weekend is here...and Monday I believe we have some surgeries to celebrate....

You have a great weekend too Charline.  I am having surgery on Tuesday.  Took Monday off to rest a bit 'cause you can bet I won't sleep the night before.  Christmas shopping is nearly done, tree is going up either tomorrow or Sunday and after that well.... I'll keep you posted.  If you go out, drive carefully and we will be in touch.

Hey where have you been???  We never got an update from your doctor's appt last week - what is the scoop???  Did they send in a referral, or at least sign your letter and let you fax it??  If so did you get a call from Dr S yet to arrange a consult date???  Inquiring minds want to know.

Nothing yet.  I saw the Dr last week.  I called prior to my appt and asked the lady who is trying to fill in what she thought about me bringing a letter and she didn't think it was a good idea (my Dr can be moody at times)...so I got some information from Dr S.' office that all we need is a consult referral and not a full letter so the lady told me she'd try to get it filled out that day and would give it to the Dr.  Well I never heard anything from Dr Savoie's office so Wednesday I called my Dr and the office is closed until Monday.  So I'll have to wait until then.  I guess it will happen whenever it will happen...nothing I can do to change anything at this point.  I talked to the Dr about it and she was ok with sending it to Dr Savoie...we did the blood pressure and all that stuff, she renewed my scripts and sent me on my way with another appt in 3 months...

I am not getting my hopes up, I've gotten mad, sad and cried plenty in both cases...I think with the depression I'm pretty much out of tears for a while but if I hear anything I will certainly let you guys know.

Charline, that absolutely SUCKS!  I would use stronger language but this is a family show!  It will happen, soon. Just keep being the squeeky wheel. I would be as sweet as suger to that new receptionist, get her on your side. If she drinks coffee, bring her a Tims and say that you were in Bouctouche and thought you would drop by to see if the letter was ready or faxed. Be your most winning self.

I agree with you Charline W,  It does SUCK and I would say the exact same stuff if it weren't a family show.  But you give good advice.  I think sweet as sugar will get Charline Mc what she wants and needs.

Well I've been super nice to the lady who is there for a long time.  She was the one who called your name and brought you to the examination room.  We would talk about the kids etc...

She even thanked me for being patient when I talked to her the day of my appointment.

I called again just now and she said that she has filled out what she needed to, just need the part from the Dr now.  She said that she wishes she could do the Dr's job sometimes...I said "so do I"...

Anyways, she said that she should be going through that this week and that she will call me as soon as she faxes them over so I can call Dr. Savoie's office and make an appt right away.

I guess all I can do now is wait patiently....another week...

That is the first good news you have had in ages Charline.  I sure hope it lifts your spirits a bit.  I think that is why the call clients who see doctors patients because we need tons and tons of patience.  I am sure things will start moving for you soon.  Keep us in the loop let us know as soon as you hear something.    Yay for you!
