Wait time for Dr S

Hi Everyone,

I just saw Dr. S and I am going to be having DS surgery. I was wondering about the wait time. I was not told a time. Can anyone tell me when there appointment was with Dr. S and were you given an approx. wait time.

I saw Dr S a couple weeks ago and he told me that my surgery would be this "winter".  I already have a sleep apnea machine and not on any meds.  Have you already had a sleep test?  If not he usually wants that done first so try to get that dona asap.  Plus would depend if he asked you to do any other special test for any other co-morbidities.

Once you get the call to meet the rest of his staff it takes about a month as he provides the 'scrip for the liquid diet to do 2 weeks before the surgery.

I have already been tested for sleep apnea and do not have it. I need no special tests. What surgery are you having done? He told me he would see me in pre-op.

I am having the DS as well.  He is starting the Lap band surgeries in Dec or Jan and we should be soon after that!  woohoo!

I am SO excited.

I saw him last week and he told me winter or so...  he didn't mention any test or anything for me either.   I have just posted under "curious about the pre op steps" yesterday and had a lot of great response.  Check it out and good luck!!  I'm going for lband.

We will have our own genuine DS'er at the next  Fredericton support group meeting! clawrence had her surgery in Europe a couple of years ago.
