I just got back from WW and was up one pound.  I was sad at first but in reality I lost 27 on liquids and the first week I started pureed food i was up a pound.  Makes sense, I think.  As long as it doesn't continue I'll be ok.  So... lesson learned.

I hope you don't let that get you down Patsy.  It stands to reason that your body experienced calories from real food and decided to hang on to them for dear life.  Also you have probably not been exercising as much post surgery as you did before hand so that might be a factor as well.  Maybe if you feel up to increaseing your activity level this coming week you will see a change.  Hang in there girl.

Also don't forget.....to put it delicately....your digestive tract now has to fill with food residual. Liquid does not have residual. Your body normally has a couple of pounds of this residual. Besides, everything I am reading says this stage is not about  weight loss. It is about healing. Don't let this get you down, it's just your digestive system getting back to normal.  You probably lost some fat anyway. The scale is not a god and doesn't measure fat loss.
27 pounds is fantastic, by the way!
Chin up, just a bump on the road; even a road down hill has bumps!   Keep your positive attitude.

Patsy, 12 lbs in 3 weeks is out of this world :) Don't fret one iota about that 1 lb - concentrate instead of the others that are gone FOREVER. You are doing SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have never said not to exercise.  As a matter of fact the week before my surgery when I saw Lise she told me that by the time I come back to get my staples out she wanted me to be up to 30 minutes of exercise a day.  I haven't done that yet but I Try to get 30 minutes every second day.  I go back to work tomorrow so that will help to get my stamina up to where it should be.  She told me  to wait a few more weeks before trying to swim but i think that's mainly concerning the incisions and infection more than anything.  They really do  encourage exercise and activity alot.

Walking is not strenuous but I am afraid that the curcuit at curves would be too strenous. I would hate to for you the hurt yourself. I am fairly sure that you are not allowed to lift anything above 5 pounds for 5 or 6 weeks. Just be cautious, OK?  You have come too far to put  your band and you recovery in jeopardy now.  Google it....never mind, I will google it to ease my mind. If you have anything to worry about I will let you know.
