How is everyone doing?Has anyone recently had their surgery?

I saw some of your posts early on when I first joined the forum. How about reintroducing yourself and sharing the kind of surgery you had and tell us how you are doing these days.

Thanks for asking. I had my op about 2.5 years ago.  Feeling great.  I am half the size I used to be.  Was 150 kilo, now 75.  Got way more skin then a wrinkles dog...but nothing a nip tuck wouldnt sort :)

I just had mine 3 weeks ago (Oct. 24) .  Just had my staples out on thursday.  Doing very well and they are pleased with my progress.  one more week of pureed and then back to reality.  I went to WW this morning and was up a pound.  I think it is from going from liquids for 4 weeks to pureed food.  one pound is nothing to worry about as long as it is not a trend.

Really glad to see you again. Your picture is awsome. When we connected in the past, I don't  think I was using my name and went by Kitty_mom. Well this kitten is in the final steps of the waiting game. I have been waiting since 2004, but have had my consult and my information session is on Tuesday.  I am doing great, just a little impatient. LOL I will be having a Lap Band.

I just have to say that the info session is the best part of the whole process.  you will get alot out of it.  don't forget there is a test at the end.  it's all true or false.  some questions are tricky because the test is for both RNY and the band. there was only one RNY in my group and the rest were band.   But I passed.  so if i can pass so can anyone !!!!   enjoy the day.

If you remember any of the tricky questions...I am not above cheating.

Was out sick this week and still coughing but think it might actually be building up my stomach muscles LOLOL

Have had my consult with Dr Savoie in Bathurst and will be having a DS this winter.  Hope you can come to the next meeting.
