One wee****il I see the Doctor. I'm going to write up my own reference letter this weekend so I'm ready to get it signed. Hopefully that will be the end of the wait for the referral..

Who's surgery is next???

I am glad you are taking a proactive stance Charline. I was thinking about you today. Here I am with my surgery date (afer a 5 year wait), all excited and you are still fighting to get a referral. I sure hope you can convince this doctor to sign the letter so you can fax it over. I don't know if I am next of the surgery list for this forum or not. My date is December 2. I had my pre-admission yesterday. Its exciting and scary but I am ready. My head is right and my heart is right and I am ready to do this. I will keep good thoughts for you that you will get that signature and get referred and on the list for surgery. Nobody but us can know what it is like to live this life with this disease so maybe your doctor just does not understand how important this is to you not only on an emotional level but for your health and your quality of life. Be strong and firm and demand what you need from this doctor. I wish you success.

That's so sweet...thank you for your thoughts....

My Doctor is the one who suggested it so I think that she is concious of what I am going through...it's the toothpick sized receptionnist I'm having issues with.

Sorry, I don't usually name-call but couldn't help it.

Anyways, I will surely keep you posted!

Oh yes please something as soon as you get home from the doctor next week. I will be so interested to hear how it goes. I am glad your doctor is at least cognizant of how much this will change your life. The receptionist is not a doctor so she hasn't got a clue I suspect. You do what you have to do to get the referral in, even if you have to hand deliver it. Hang in there.
