What did you eat today Dser?
Hi Clawrence, I was just reading your eating for a couple of days. I can't imagine anyone thinking this way of living is great. I am not dissing your wls surgery but it would be as difficult as banding or RNY. It is no easy way out. The way you eat now is fine bit I am concerned what will happen when you get older and have a decreased appetite? Am I correct in assuming thet you will have to eat this way for the rest of your life? I am a nurse and have worked for years with elderly folks and I now how hard it is to get the elderly to eat enough nutrition because they just don't want to eat. Please don't think I am in any way judging you or making assumptions about your surgery, I was just wondering.
HI Maggie,
I took a long time replying as have been out of town. I liked your comment as it makes us stop and think. The easy way around this is eating protein supplements. I try not to now...and really try to document the thought process...so the others considering the DS can see what thoughts are taking place.
But I hope that as I get older...and I know what you mean...feel less like eating...I will need to take protein supplements. I know there are folks having babies....getting cancer treatments, and all kinds of challenges with eating after DS...and hear good things...so I guess I won't worry now about later.
BEcause without the weight losss....I proably would not have made it to old lady status.
Thanks for your comments...it was something I have never thought about.
