That didn't work!

My mom just got back....

Neither the Dr or the secretary were there today.  Of course, nobody else can do anything...

I confirmed with Dr. S that my letter has not yet been received.....

I guess I'll have to wait..and end up on a waiting list after everyone and their dog gets their referral letter sent in before me. 

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that people are getting in to see him.....

I just feel like throwing myself a pity party right now...it'll pass...

Good lord, you have right to be having a pity party.  Sounds like the good old dr and receptionist are on vacation.  Did they know when they would be back?  Probably Monday.  Have you considered writing them a letter so it will be waiting for them when they return and express your frustrations that the referral is taking so long when all that needs to happen is a simple fax?  Maybe telling them that they are seriously affecting your position in the surgery process?  I don't know, I'm just feeling your pain and trying to think of what I would do if it were me.  I would write a letter or be there in person when the doors open Monday and tell them you'll wait for the referral and fax it yourself if that would be more convenient for her!!!  Kill them with kindness, maybe shed a fake tear or real one at this point.  Most of those referrals are mere fill-in-the-blank letters.  I wonder if Dr. Savoie would take a phone referral.  He didn't even look at my referral letter when I was there....probably preferring to take his own notes. At least if she could call and then f/u with a letter it may make it happen sooner than later.  Have you expressed any frustrations with the receptionist yet or have you just asked if it was sent?

I'm so sorry to hear that.  They have a strange practice up there.    Well it can only get better.  I wanna know if it's that busy, how can they take time off.  Who did the flu shot????

Seems that they had nurses brought in from somewhere to do the flu shots.  I swear they did it on purpose....

Oh well, it's gonna happen...I go see her on the 18th...so this time there will be no hiding...my appointment is with the Doc...and I'm not going for a flu shot...

Anyways, I'll keep you posted.  I'm venting in a video blog at the moment...I can get myself so riled up it's actually funny...but only a little
