Yep , getting the band ...can't wait . I think about it all day long .
I just called the SJ hospital & talked to sleep study. I  told them I had a couple of sleep studies done & the Dr. wrote out a script for a cpap machine . Would I have to go through it all over again or just get my script renewed OF COURSE there is NO easy way out. Its been over a year so I have to go back again. The wait is 8-10 months long & they have 3 doctors that do it .
Got to t hink of something else , I am going to call my GP in a minute & see if I can do the at home one.  Wish me luck .

Argh That is my biggest fear! I am doing the “at home” one on November 20th. My fear is that they decide I need to head to St. John! OMG what a nightmare! My lung specialist didn’t seem to think I have sleep apnea because I don’t really have any symptoms, but I’m still paranoid because I don’t want this surgery postponed.   GOOD LUCK!

Woohoo ...just called the secetary at the GP's office . She said , I know what you are calling for (because I called on Friday, to talk to my Dr). Anyway she said , I put your referral in the box here at the hospital & they should be calling you before the end of the week for the sleep apnea test.  I think its the one that you do at home.  I hope that is good enough for Dr. S  If I have to get a cpap machine , its covered by our Blue Cross !!!   I will get it & take it with me at surgery time , that's all that matters , right ???  I am feeling pretty lucky , so far.
DID I read above that  if they think that you have sleep apnea , you still have to go to SJ for the study ??OH NO>>>>
