When I was preop, I found the videos facinating...I hope some of you find them usefull to better understand your surgery choices:

The 3 main ones together...RNY, DS, BAnding: (the recomendations are from US and may also be outdated)

not for the squeamish is it

if nothing else...even after we are feeling fit and healthy...it reminds me...I did have a serious surgery.

This site actually has the BPD/DS videos...unlike the one above, which is mainly RNY.

Very educational - never really envisioned my insides like that - quite different than the "body" book I have at home or the model I painted as a kid.  Giver me a whole new appreciation of the fat that needs to go!

HI Michelle,

I found as I watched some videos over after not having seen them since my research days 2.5 to 3 years ago...it was a very nice reminder  to me of how invasive my DS actually was.

It is so easy after your surgery to forget you have had something done....and if you forget...or put it on the back of your mind...you run the risk of not taking special care of your self...so...bring on the Videos!

Take Care,
C.
