Al;though I live near Halifax, this message board is just so active. I have learned more on this board than on the Nova Scotia one. All is just too quiet over there. I enjoy everyone's comments and encourgement.  You guys are like one big family. I think I will make this message board my home. Congrats to everyone who are on their journey and "hang in there" to all us waiters. Regards

Ahhh that's sweet!!!

Yeah I noticed the NS forumn is sort of quiet.

We have been trying to get this board more active! So far it's working with every one at least checking once or twice a day!

Welcome!

Dear waiters!  LOL
Are you aware that there are 2 new surgeons in Halifax (Glaesser and Ellesmere). Plus there is a new Dr here in NB and he is getting patients in within a couple of months. It is Dr Marc Savoie in Bathurst. Maybe you can transform from waiters to loosers!

*wave****here!

I am new here - since 5 minutes ago - and I go in to see Dr. Beausoleil tomorrow afternoon for a consult - been waiting 2yrs I think just for the referral! Out of the blue (to me) I got a call last week from Dr. Savoie's office to schedule an appointment for a consult as well (I didn't know my family doctor sent one to him as well). My sister (who is a Dr. in Halifax) suggested my family doctor send out a referral to Halifax as well so that there are alot of options open to me.

I've been overweight my entire life it seems, done every diet known to man, gyms, walking, etc -- not much at all helps. I have been doing research on the different surgeries and think I have it figured out. My mother had a gastric bypass done about 5-6 years ago and she looks fantastic now..

I'm scared yet excited at the same time.. !!!
