Back from Dr. S's office!
Dr. B has a flawless system and it's freaking excellentcause he's been doing it for so many years and he's discussed this surgery with hundreds of patients and he has it down to a a science but we all know why his waiting list was crazy. The old medicare process and the fact he was the only one in Atlantic canada!
Also, my friend got the lap band when Dr. B first started and she waited like six months top before surgery! When I first got refered the wait was like 3 years and she couldn't believe it!
Its probably because they startand they don't have a pre existing list, plus now that medicare approves automaticly- I mean even Dr. B is going faster!
It's good news for everyone! Plus for the people going to see Dr. B now, just in the last week he's gotten three names crossed out of his list (me, you, and amary) so I mean his list will shorten for sure.
It's a real shame for the folks who've waited a LONG time with the old process but hopefully this will relieve the need for WLS surgeons in the atlantic Canada.It was just a case of bad timing. Charline and many others have waited a long time and I feel for them I really do, but they stayed strong and it's happenning for them too! :)

Thanks for the answer Scartears! I'm just kicking myself in the butt for not noticing it sooner. :-D I'm glad that he does the vertical sleeve - I think that, if he approves, is what I would l like to get.
Wow, just to think - in July and August I was scheming and thinking about how I could finance a trip down to Mexico to get a vertical sleeve procedure down because I thought that it'd be a 5 year wait in NB. Wow, how things can change so quickly!
