New medicare process
I was there yesterday and met with dietician and YES it optifast and water for 2 weeks straight. nothing else. 4 shakes a day with water for snacks !!! yippee. You are not allowed any other liquids during this 2 weeks period.

The Good news is that my friend who did the optifast a couple of weeks ago told me that she was not hungry with these shakes.
My friend who followed the old way (1200 calorie diet with food) told me she starved the whole two weeks.
It will be worth it. Anyone who is serious about this surgery should be serious enough to follow their strict two week regimen.
