Information Meetings
Does anyone know when the next information evening is or have they discontinued them? When reading past posts I saw that there were some every couple weeks or month (English and French).
When I spoke to someone at Dr B's office this week they were not sure - done by the dietition she thought. She was having technical difficulties that day with a new program they had tried and now expired so was busy trying to access the list (could see it but not access it and all her updates had been done on that program so the old list was quite outdated and may need to be manually changed to be used).
Bit discouraging as would like to know where my name stands to date as reading all the progress on the message boards of others - congrats to each of you! If you hear any news while at your appointments please share, thanks :)
Take care, God bless,

I know that they have an English support group every second month. They are only for people who have already had the surgery. The one in November is the English one.
Information sessions are an all day thing that they will book you into when your "number comes up" so to speak. You have your consultation then the information session then you sign your papers. After that there are your pre op tests which take about 4 hours of your time and then another visit just before you get your surgery date.
If you require general information you will be able to learn a lot on sites like this one but the nurse said at my information session that you should not believe everything you read or hear. Dr. Beau is very meticulous and they will make sure you know everything you need to know when you need to know it.
I know its hard to be patient but before you know it things will be moving faster for you.
If you have any questions, post them here, everyone is very generous with their knowledge and information. You will get answers to all your questions, I am sure.
I am hoping to sign my papers on Oct 23 so just be patient it will all come together for you.

Do you mean the support group? or do you mean Dr. B's information session before deciding on surgery? Dr. B's is an all day session. the support groups are in the evening.

Yes I mean the support group - not the all day session with Dr B.
Didn't realize they were only for post-ops. Just thought it would be another venue of information and support close to home.
Looking forward to our supper next week and will post any questions that I don't find the answers already discussed (do take everything with a grain of salt as such an individual decision and recovery).
Thanks for responding!
