Support group in Fredericton.- interested?
HI,
I suggest if we have people driving up from Moncton and Saint John, and me from up in Keswick...lets go either uptown in Fredericton where it is easy off the highway. I dont know what is good but something that would have a varied menu. To allow for either low cal, low carb, high veggie, or high protein, depending on what we all are searching for.
I find Italian a bit limiting...as in pizza, pasta. As a low carb person, it gets tricky. Most other kinds of restaurants would work.
Does anyone know of a Fton one where there is a seperate room we can sit in at no extra cost. This is not necessary but it makes it nice for the discussions we have. Especially if the restaurant is really noisey and we can't hear what someone down the table is saying.
(I hate to miss things :)
Or if there is anyone who perfers in F'ton to not have those in the next table enjoying our conversation.
I am so excited we are going to get together. It is going to be so nice!
Lets make it early in October!
And we can pass the details along to those in Maine and NS, PEI groups. You never know who out there is dying to meet others with the same goals and concerns, and to meet people with such great success with the medicare system..to enspire them on this long journey!

Wow! well done! 300 lost with a RNY!!! Fantastic!!
Actually that reminds me of my number 1 question I would like to understand...is it seems that NB is more keen on the bands then the surgeries which give malabsorption. So, I wont discuss it here yet. But I would like to understand the thinking and especially for folks like me who have or had close to 200 pounds to loose.
So...really looking forward to meeting you all!
oh..and bring you support person(s) as I know from the past when I was investigating, or in the early days of surgery...it was helpful for my other half to join these get togethers...just to reasure that this was worth it all...and to just generally feel better about the whole thing. The family has alot to deal with as well in these situations.
See you all soon!
ps.....us "loosers" should bring our before and after photos! they are usually pretty amazing!
