SOS In Search of DS Surgeon????

Hi, I am in search of a DS surgeon. Had bypass surgery a year ago and have had complications and as a result it has failed. There are no surgeons doing the surgery in my province, (Saskatchewan) anymore. So my health care has agreed to send me anywhere in Canada to have it re-done as long as it is not a private clinic. If anyone can help with the name and phone # and or fax # of a surgeon I would really appreciate it. Thank So Much, Donna

We have only 1 surgeon here and it takes a long time to see him- years. There are 2 new surgeon in Halifax and their waiting list may not be too long yet. I will look for a name for you. You can also try the yahoo chat room called Maritime bariatric ???/something or other.

Hi, The two doctors in Halifax are Dr. Dennis Klassen and Dr. James Ellsmere. Two wonderful surgeons! They are preforming verticle sleeves but, their also do this also, not sure.

the surgeans in halifax do not do DS I called thier offices.. and in canada it's still self pay for it ...

One of the worlds best BPD DS surgeons Dr. Marceau is at Laval University.  You see his name all the time regarding research and this type of surgery..on the medical sites.  Maybe you can find him by searching.  He is considered a world leader on this surgery.
