Hi, I had RNY in March this year and will be spending the summer in New Brunswick in a small town near Saint John. My concern is: Is the Saint John Regional Hospital equipped to help RNYers who run into a problem (stricture, etc)? Does anyone know? From what I have read on your forum, the surgery is done in Moncton only. Would appreciate any feedback. Cindy ps Can hardly wait to get down East! I live in Ottawa and the summers here are hot, humid and sometimes smoggy.

Hi Cynthia! My RNY was in April in Moncton. St. John is only about 1.5hrs from Moncton- I would go to Moncton if I had ANY problems at all related to my surgery. I'm sure St. John Hospital has run across post-op RNY'ers before- but why chance it? You will enjoy the summer down east- no smog and hardly ever humid for any more than a day or too! Take Care!
