1 MONTH SURGAVERSARY!!!
Just wanted to give you all an update! I just had my 1 month weigh in...AND...I am down 22lbs since surgery, 33lbs pre-op, for a total of 55lbs!!!!!!!! I am feeling very proud! I won't lie it has not all been a walk in the park, but I am getting through it! The results make it worth it. I was getting a bit cranky towards the end of full liquids, (my poor sister may have a better word for it ), but now I have graduated to the next phase and it is a lot easier! It is so funny to me because pre-op I would have looked at the portion and thought it was so small...but now it looks like sooo much! LOL I am doing well with getting the protein in, but I still can not eat very much. I am always satisfied though, which is what counts I guess. I used to drink a lot of water, but I struggle a bit now, it feels heavy in my pouch! I would say the strangest thing to me is how I NEVER feel hungry. I actually have to make sure I eat. If I am busy I could easily go all day without eating. I hope everyone is doing well! I will keep you updated on my progress. For all of those who are still waiting, and who have just begun..... IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!! I waited 6 years!! Hang in there!!

Krista,
I am so happy for you that you are having such great success. How is your other health issues ( your back) ? I've been thinking about you all the time and wondering how things went.
How does the program look here in Halifax? It is sure long overdue for them to get something up and running here.
I am doing pretty good, I'm down 65 lbs and am loosing but slowly , ( I guess I'm old and it is taking it's time to depart) It will be 5 months for me this week . The Dr gave me until December to loose another 35 , but I would like to take off more.
How did you find the recovery from this procedure ? Do you vomit at all? That was my biggest fear , I hate getting sick , but it only happened once . I ate Lobster too soon after my surgery and was uncomfortable , but that is it , I'm so glad.
Keep on truckin and I hope you are not still plagged with your back problems.

WOW CONGRATULATIONS SHERRY!!!!!! 65lbs that is great, and I LOVE your new avatar pic, you look great! Losing slowly is a good thing, because it gives your skin time to catch up! Glad to hear you are doing well. I was also thinking about you and wondering how you are doing.
As for me I am very pleased with the weight loss, I notice the inches more though. BUT sadly my back and leg have had zero improvement. Sometimes I am frightened the damage is done, but most of the time I remind myself it will get better. It just needs time to heal!
I am having a very good recovery from the sleeve. I have not vomited at all, but it is possible. I am careful as to what I eat and do it slowly. I have had bad nausea, and some days were it is very difficult to get any food in neither liquid or pureed/ground. (that is the stage I am on now. (for another 2.5 weeks) I also get heatburn sometimes which can be VERY bad, but tums work well for me!
The program here I believe is now up and running. I think they are using the old list, but people with serious health problems get in quicker! The Drs who are doing it are great!
Please keep in touch! I wish you continued success with your journey! I will keep in touch too! I will send you my e-mail so we can keep in touch better!
