Time Line

Hi, everyone! Well, I've been considering the LB surgery for about 2 years now, and believe that I have made my final decision to go through with it. I'm sure this has been answered before - and if it has, maybe you can point me in the direction of that post - but can anyone explain what kind of time line I'm looking at here? I understand from Dr. Mallet's post that there is no need for pre-approval any longer - how does this impact the waiting time? If anyone can answer my (many) questions, I would be so grateful: waiting time to see Dr. B the first time = ? waiting time from first visit to testing = ? waiting time for medicare to approve surgery = ? waiting time for actual surgery = ? Since Dr Mallet's everything has changed. Who knows what the impact will be on the waiting list??? I guess it depends on how long you would have waited to see the specialist in your area. I have been waiting over 3 years to see the specialist and know that I have at least another year. I am hoping that I will be screened by Dr. B sooner. I am hoping that since i referred to Dr B 4 years ago, he will see me for screening soon.
