Is the Lap Band cost income-tax deductable?

Lap Band on 07/24/07
Anyone have Lap Band and apply it against their income tax? I'm wondering how much of the cost ($4500) we can claim.

Hi there, I just had my taxes done, and claimed the band and traveling expenses, i did not do the taxes myself I had a professional do it for me and I am so excited about my return, i can't wait to get it and buy some new clothes. Good luck. Sherry
