12 weeks post-op (70lbs down)
Hi guys
well it is now 12 weeks post-op. It's just great. The surgery went great. I was off 8 weeks. The first 2 weeks i was sore and getting used to the food. But the rest i felt i was on vacation. I was feeling that good.
I have not yet felt any discomfort and symptoms of dumping (knock on wood). Although i am being smart about the surgery. I am very adamant about eating low fat and low sugar. I beleive that is the reason why i am doing so well.
I have been walking 30 mins 5 days a week. I am picking up speed every day. I don't feel any pain in my lower back, ankles and my feet. I realize that the way i walk now is different. I actually am having a hard time to adjust to that. My hips and muscles hurt because my legs are smaller and my hips rotate more. I guess i am walking with a more feminine touch ;)
All and all i am feeling AWESOME. I hope all of you who are doing the Gastric Bypass will have the amazing experience I had. I have changed a lot .. inside and out. My friends and family tells me there is a twinkle in my eye, my smile is brighter and i am full of energy. The only thing I can tell them is that they are right and the reason behind it all is that i am now feeling my mind, body and soul have now started to align. It's an amazing feeling
Dr. Beausoleil is incredible. I beleive that you can trust this man to the fullest. He is smart and will do the best job he can. When i went for my post-op meeting with him he was living the excitement with me. He was proud of me and was smilling from ear to ear just by looking at my progress. He takes this issue seriously.
I will try to write some more on my progress if you guys want to.
Good luck to everyone
Angela
