crossing border for fills?

Hi, everyone! I don't have the lapband, but am looking into it. Does anyone have any info on how a person might get a fill across the US border? I live in a town that is really close to the ME border - how might this work? I'd be closer to ME than to any hospital in NB. Does Medicare cover fills at all? If not, how much are they? I ask mainly b/c if I'll be getting fills in ME, then I'd be paying anyway if Medicare doesn't cover.

Saint Stephen? I've never seen it spelled that way. Did you just move there? Medicare covers all fills done in NB, if the surgery was done in NB.

Thanks for your response. Did you know where I meant? I guess if you did it doesn't really matter how it was spelled :) I'm talking more about getting the fills across the border after the surgery is done in NB.

As you've said you haven't had the surgery yet, are you on Dr B's list? If yes, super. If not, there is a 3-5 YEAR wait to get into him You may want to check with the Maine Medical Clinic as I believe they do WLS there. They may be able to do the fills. I'm 100% sure though that our Medicare in NB will not cover it. They only cover it if done by Dr Beausoliel, and that's only if he has done your surgery.

Thanks, Krista - No, I'm not yet on the list - in fact I haven't even had the endo. do what he needs to do to get the process started. So I'm REALLY in the beginning stages! When I do get it done, however, I'm curious as to how much the fills in ME will cost, considering Medicare will not pay. Does anyone know?
